These ideas aren't that complicated. Why can't I just do this myself?
You probably could do it yourself given enough time and effort. What we teach isn't exotic or complicated. However:
* You'll have to use trial and error. It'll take much longer, you'll make lots of mistakes and the result may not be what you wanted.
* It's not whether you can , it's whether you will . We talk to lots of people who intend to "do this stuff themselves." We call them a year later and they've invariably made no progress whatsoever. Let's face it: if you were going to make the changes on your own, you'd have done it by now.
* We're talking about your business, not a backyard swing set. Is it sensible to make something critical to your life and livelihood a do-it-yourself project that you've never tackled before?
* You hire professionals because they have the tools and experience to diagnose problems and get results in the quickest, most cost effective way. Professionals eliminate the risk, expense and frustration of trial and error, and make sure the job stays on track and gets done. That's why people come to you, and that's why they come to us.
I'm busy already. How will I find time to do all this work?
We won't kid you. In the early stages, you'll feel that your plate is even fuller than before. But, as you move forward, you'll realize that you already have more time than you could imagine. It's just been consumed by tasks that you shouldn't be doing. As you learn to shift these tasks to employees and systems, more and more time will become available.
I've tried consultants before and they haven't worked. Why are you going to be any different?
We work differently from other consultants. We focus on teaching practical, proven solutions and helping you get results. We don't do pricey studies, don't sell elaborate plans and strategies, don't dazzle you with business school jargon. And (this is important) we don't do the work for you.
Instead, our job is to give you the skills to solve your own problems without becoming dependent on us. Also, we've helped over 200 business owners over almost a decade and we know what works.
How can you help me unless you're a specialist in my business?
We've helped clients in almost any field imaginable and know many industries intimately, but we're specialists in fixing or creating the "back room" systems and infrastructure that are common to all businesses, including sales and management processes, collections, hiring, and training.
We give you the "best practices" used by successful businesses and help you tailor and install them in your business. You're the expert in the technical work of the business, we're the experts in the systems, methods, and processes that make businesses work effectively.
Do I need to commit for the full 12 months?
Yes. It's a 12-month program for owners who are committed to making significant changes in their businesses and lives. Like enrolling in any class or training program, you must be committed and stick with it. If you're not ready today, that's fine: You're welcome to join a group when it feels right to you (though, we'll warn you, there's never a "convenient" time to get started).
To ease the financial burden and increase your comfort level, however, we require no large up front fees: You may "pay as you go."
Can my staff attend the workshops with me?
Up to two of your people can attend in addition to yourself. We strongly suggest that the same staff people attend regularly rather than different staffers each time.
How big are the groups?
Groups are a maximum of 15 to 20 businesses.
What happens if I get stuck, have problems or need advice between the quarterly meetings? Do I have to wait?
